Terms & Conditions for Aussie Beef & Lamb Singapore’s #TasteOfTraditionSG: Singapore contest

    

     

  1. @AussieBeef&LambSG’s Taste of Tradition: Singapore contest (the “Contest”) will be governed by these standard terms and conditions and accompanying Contest rules (collectively the “Terms”).

  2. Each entrant agrees that he/she has read and understood this document and by their participation in the Contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by the Terms.

  3. The Organiser of this Contest is Meat & Livestock Australia - Aussie Beef & Lamb.

  4. The Organiser shall be solely responsible for the execution and administration of this Contest.

  5. This contest is in no way endorsed, sponsored, administered by or associated with Instagram. By participating, you agree to release Instagram of all liability.

  6. All currency listed is in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and all times listed are in Singapore Time (SGT).

  7. Contests shall run strictly in accordance with the stipulated time frame as stated in the Contest Rules.

  8. Contests are only open to all legal residents of Singapore.

  9. Entrants must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age or over at the date of entry.

  10. The following categories of persons are not eligible to enter the Contest: employees and immediate family of the Organiser and its respective divisions, affiliates, authorised dealers/distributors, agents; suppliers of the Prize(s); and any other company professionally connected with this Contest.

  11. All personal details submitted must be accurate and complete and are subject to proof upon request by the Organiser. 

  12. The Organiser reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants and to disqualify any entry not submitted in accordance with these Terms or which tampers with the entry process.

  13. Incomplete, indecipherable, illegible, incorrect entries or any entry that violates the Terms or rules for entry, will automatically be disqualified.

  14. The Organiser will not accept any responsibility for entries lost, delayed, misdirected, damaged or undelivered. 

  15. By submitting an entry, which includes reference to any work (e.g. photographs, videos, drawings) featured in the entry:

    • you represent and warrant that you are the authorised account owner of the Instagram account used to submit the entry

    • you represent and warrant that the entry is original and you are the sole owner of the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in the entry;

    • you represent and warrant that the entry has not been used for commercial purposes, published previously or submitted for other contests, locally or abroad;

    • you grant to the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, worldwide and perpetual license to use, reproduce, reformat, modify, edit, publish, publicly display, screen, distribute and sub-licence the entry in any media format and any media channels as deemed fit by the Organiser, for any purposes the Organiser may deem necessary, including without limitation for the purposes of advertising and marketing;

    • you agree that the Organiser will credit you in any use of the entry, and may disclose your name and particulars of the entry for publicity purposes;

    • if the entry is a photograph featuring any other person besides yourself, you must ensure that you obtain permission prior to the entry of the photograph for the use of the said person’s personal data in the Contest and such consent shall be required for the entry to be valid in the Contest;

    • When applicable, you must ensure that you obtain clear and unambiguous consent of any persons you intend to feature or tag in the photographs for the entry prior to making the entry and such consent shall be required for the entry to be valid in the Contest.

  16. In the event that the Organiser cannot for any reason obtain a Finalists’ acknowledgement within twenty four (24) hours of first attempting to do so, or confirm Finalists’ availability for the photoshoot on the weekend of 3rd September, the Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative Finalist at Organiser’s sole discretion.

  17. The Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative Finalist at any time, where the Organiser has reasonable grounds for believing that the initially selected Finalist has contravened any of these Terms. Any alternative Finalist will be selected applying the same criteria as that used to select the original Finalist.

  18. The Organiser reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed Prize in any manner it deems fit.

  19. The Prizes are as stated in the accompanying Contest Prizes below and are non-transferable and not-for-sale. No cash alternatives will be offered. If due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, the Organiser is unable to provide the stated Prize or any part thereof, the Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater value, to be determined at the Organisers’ sole discretion.

  20. A Prize may be subject to the additional terms and conditions of the prize supplier. More details on the collection of the Prize will be given to the respective Finalists at a later stage.

  21. Acceptance of any Prize shall constitute a release and discharge of the Organiser from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the Finalist or Winner (and/or their companions) may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) the Contest, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the Finalist or Winner (and/or their companions) as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the Prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to the Contest, Prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.

  22. The Organiser shall not be held liable for (i) any delay in performing or partial or total failure to perform any of their obligations to the Finalists or Winner under these Terms if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser, its respective divisions, affiliates, authorized agents, suppliers of the Prize(s), including without limitation delays, changes, disruptions, cancellations, diversions or substitutions howsoever caused including without limitation as a result of war, terrorist action or threatened terrorist action, strikes, hostilities, civil commotions, accidents, fire, flood or natural catastrophes or (ii) from any loss, damage to property, injury, or death resulting from or related to entrant’s participation or inability to participate in this Contest, or the use, misuse or inability to use the Prize or any portion thereof.

  23. The Organisers reserve the right to terminate the Contest or to modify the Contest rules and Terms prior to the Closing Date by amending the rules and Terms hereof at its sole and absolute discretion. Any such modifications shall be notified via @aussiebeef&lambsg Instagram page, and such modifications shall be immediately effective and apply to all entries, including entries that have been submitted to the Organiser.

  24. Any queries regarding the Contest should specify the name of the Contest, Taste of Tradition: Singapore, and be addressed to contest@foodnews.com.sg.

 

Contest Rules

  1. Contest period starts on 3rd August at 3pm and ends on 23rd August at 9pm.

  2. Participants must follow @aussiebeef&lambsg’s Instagram account and post on their public Instagram account of an original photograph or video taken by them of a local beef dish and hashtag it #TasteOfTraditionSG to take part.

  3. The Organiser’s in-house panel of judges will then select twenty (20) entries from amongst all eligible entries (each referred to as a “Shortlisted Entry”) by a specified set of criteria. The Organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

  4. The criteria for eligible shortlisted entries are as follows:

    • Beef must be an ingredient in the dish.

    • The dish must be easily recognised as being part of local Singaporean cuisine.

    • The dish must be cooked by the owner of the Instagram account that submits the entry.

    • The photograph or video of the dish must be taken by the owner of the Instagram account.

    • The Instagram account that submitted the entry must be following @aussiebeef&lambsg’s Instagram account.

    • The Instagram account must be set to public.

    • The twenty (20) best dishes based on the appearance of the dish in the submitted entries will be chosen as a “Shortlisted Entry”

  5. The Organiser’s appointed judges will select three (3) finalists from amongst all
    Shortlisted Entries (each referred to as a “Finalist”) by a specified set of criteria. The Organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

  6. The criteria for choosing “Finalists” are as follows:

    • Each judge will independently rank all Shortlisted Entries from one to twenty (1 - 20) based on the appearance of the dish in the entry.

    • Each rank corresponds to a score - the lower the rank, the higher the score i.e. top-ranked entry receives 20 points, second-ranked entry receives 19 points, and so on.

    • In the event of a tie, the judges shall reconvene and unanimously rank the tied entries.

    • The three (3) Shortlisted Entries with the highest scores will be chosen as Finalists and be contacted via Instagram direct message.

  7. Finalists must attend a one-hour photo shoot scheduled on the weekend of 3rd September where the Finalists must recreate the dish in their contest entry for a photograph.

  8. The Organiser reserves the right to edit the photographs at its own discretion. 

  9. The Organiser will post each Finalists’ dish image on @aussiebeef&lambsg Instagram page on 9th September 2022 at 12pm.

  10. The Finalist’s dish image with the most likes by 16th September 2022 at 9pm will be declared the Winner.



Contest Prizes

  1. Twenty (20) entries will be chosen as Shortlisted Entries, and accounts that submitted these entries will be awarded $30 vouchers for the purchase of Australian beef from selected retailers and butchers.

  2. Three (3) entries will be chosen as Finalists, and accounts that submitted these entries will be awarded $100 vouchers for the purchase of Australian beef from selected retailers and butchers.

  3. One (1) entry will be voted as the Winner, and the account that submitted the winning entry will be awarded a year’s supply of beef worth $1,000 in the form of monthly vouchers from a selected retailer or butcher.
